The Northeast Ohio Chapter of The Newspaper Guild was chartered on March 20, 1934, and is the birthplace of the Guild. Local 1 serves more than 700 workers at SIX PUBLICATIONS, which reach hundreds of thousands of Northeast Ohio readers every day. The Local 1 Web site went on-line Saturday, March 20, 2004.
